About Mrs. Kepner
It is with great pride and excitement that I write this introduction to you as I enter into my eleventh year in administration as principal of East Elementary School. I am a native of Pennsylvania and currently reside in Cleveland County with my husband, four dogs, and two cats. I earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from West Chester University and a master's degree in school administration from Appalachian State University. I have 25 years of educational experience, spanning grades K-6. My experience includes 13 years teaching third and fourth grades, two years as a curriculum technology coordinator (grades K-4), two years as assistant principal at Kings Mountain Intermediate School (grades 5-6), and one year as assistant principal and seven years as principal at James Love Elementary School. I am excited to bring my passion for curriculum and instruction and skills as an educational leader to your son/daughter's school.
Most importantly, I want to express my gratitude for the opportunity to work with your children each day. I believe a positive, cohesive partnership between the school and student's home results in exemplary student success. During the course of the year, it is my desire to work together with you to provide the students of East Elementary the best possible opportunity to reach their fullest potential while preparing them to be world-class citizens ready to master the challenges of the 21st Century with a solid academic foundation.
My door is always open, and I welcome your input. Please feel free to stop in, Dojo message, email, or call to make an appointment to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to help make this the best year yet. It is going to be a great year at East, and I look forward to working with you!
Respectfully,
Kimberley Kepner
